I went ahead and mocked up a brand new colored Slime, in hindsight I actually have no idea whether it's a blue shade or not-- but I reckon it's good enough.
This is currently what the colored slime currently looks like, outside of the game with it's respective animation frames recolored to match and all.
And here's what it looks like tied into the landscape, showing how much it really contrasts.
