I decided to give the animation stuff in Aseprite another shot, even though it hurts my soul from time-to-time. Here I've made a mini packing gif: just a sprite packing his boxes into a portal (bare with me), and looping back to get another box.
I think it came off alright, the legs and arms proved to be a pain with layering and Aseprite likes to be a mixed bag and randomly move and delete things in their entirety despite you only trying to fix a single frame or two.
