So I was told as cool as it is to be doing my own things on the blog, it'd be a good idea to put stuff course-wise on here which makes sense of course.
I completed the entirety of the Lunar Lander lesson, and here's how I feel about it:
Sticking to a 3-4 color palette is painful. I tried to stick with that as a challenge for myself, and it was definitely not the greatest idea. I use Gimp as of now, and I'm considering trying Aseprite purely to stick to palettes at more ease for next time I try to challenge myself to something similar to that again.
Construct 3 has changed a good lot since Construct 2, which is noticeable in the lessons. I found myself stuck trying to figure out where the functions were, and why Apply Force wasn't working to give my ship/rocket a narrow push to the right at the beginning. Either way, I managed to find everything by myself which is one of my favorite ways to learn about a program.
Below are my attached screenshots.
Had fun doing this lesson. Had some laughs about the idea of dragging a little guy with you on the outside of the rocket. 10/10.
